GARAGE-D - HIPPOSLEEK JZX100 A2 POSTER

The early 2000s sparked a boom in Japanese car culture, with drifting leading the charge. Aftermarket brands quickly capitalized on its popularity, releasing a huge range of parts and aero kits for what are now iconic cars. One of them was the JZX100 Chaser, and at the 2002 Tokyo Auto Salon, Hippo Sleek unveiled their new “Stylish Sedan” line on this very car.

Like many drift cars from the golden era, this Chaser eventually made its way to Europe, changing over the years until it was almost unrecognizable. It later found its way into the hands of Garage-D founder Julian Smith, who, alongside the team, restored it to its former glory. Today, the car can regularly be seen in action on and off the track across events in the UK and Europe.
