The Wide Journal kits are essentially an extension of our original and proven 3.2L stroker kit for the RB30. These kits have now massively increased in popularity and now hold numerous world records. Found in the quickest and fastest GTRs and RB powered vehicles on the planet, there is no wonder why this is our premium kit for the RB30 combination.

The most significant difference between this stroker kit and the standard connecting rod journal stroker kit is the extra width added to the connecting rod bearing journal. The journal has been widened by in excess of 20% from standard. The wider journal and bearing then enables the load to be dissipated over a larger area, increasing the life of the bearing and adding to the ability to produce more power. This eliminates the need for tuners to "tune to the bearing", allowing for more aggressive introduction of power without having to worry about the life of the bearing.

Not only does this benefit the life of the connecting rod bearing and journal on the crankshaft, it also benefits reliability via the connecting rod. In making the connecting rod bearing wider, the connecting rod itself also must be widened, and by virtue of adding more material to the big end journal of the connecting rod, increased power and reliability are among the benefits enjoyed.

The kit consists of Nitto/CP pistons, available in a variety of sizes, cut from the Turbo HD forging, PVD Turbo ring set for the ultimate sealing capabilities and, of course, the CP 9310 wrist pins. Nitto 152.4mm I-beam, I1.5 and V2 configuration connecting rods are both available for the stroker kits and come with ARP 2000 rod bolts as standard. The option to purchase Custom Age 625 rod bolts is also available on purchase. Finally, the Nitto RB30 3.2L 4340 wide connecting rod journal stroker crank is also included in the kit, with the option to purchase the stronger EN40B material crankshaft in the same variation.

The RB30 originally featured in the Nissan HR31 and the Holden VL Commodore in Single Overhead Cam (SOHC) configuration. The RB30 has significant downfalls surrounding the harmonics of the crankshaft and integrity of the connecting rod and piston combination. To this end, Nitto saw the opportunity to advance this area of the industry and not only create a kit of billet components, but increase the capacity as well. Much like we have in other areas. These components held a series of world records.

As such, the RB30 3.2L stroker kit has become our flagship kit, that spearheads our range of components. With the use of the RB32 centred largely around drag racing, the vast majority of the world's quickest and fastest GTRs and RB powered vehicles employ the services of our 3.2L stroker kits. In this area of our website, we present to you the standard connecting rod journal 3.2L stroker kits, which are extremely popular in a vast multitude of street cars and drag cars in the like.

The kit consists of Nitto/CP pistons, with your choice of SOHC or Double Overhead Cam (DOHC), in either 85mm/-0.040", 86mm/+0.000", 86.5mm/+0.020" and 87mm/+0.040", cut from the Turbo HD forging, PVD Turbo ring set for the ultimate sealing capabilities and, of course, the CP 9310 wrist pins. Nitto 152.4mm I-beam, I1.5 and V2 configuration connecting rods are both available for the stroker kits and come with ARP 2000 rod bolts as standard. The option to purchase Custom Age 625 rod bolts is also available on purchase. Finally, the Nitto RB30 3.2L 4340 stroker crank is also included in the kit, with the option to purchase the stronger EN40B material crankshaft in the same variation.
