GKTECH - High Performance Engine Fan - Nissan RB

GKTech High Performance Engine Fan - Up to 40% More Air Flow for Nissan Skyline R32/R33/R34 / RB/GT-R

After selling over 10,000 units of our fans on the almighty SR20, we have now made an RB specific variant.

The GKTECH high-performance engine fan has been designed and engineered in Australia with the intention of pulling more air than the factory item.

When tested on a dyno the GKTECH high-performance fan took less than half the time to cool down from 90 degrees to operating temperature (good for next time you're on the start line at the track).

Super easy to install, simply remove your factory fan (4 bolts) and install the new fan, it is a direct replacement clutch fan to suit RB, VG engines

- Direct replacement of the standard fan

- Pulls 40% more air than the factory RB fan

Vehicle Compatibility:

- Nissan Skyline R31 RB30E

- Nissan Skyline R32 GTS-T

- Nissan Skyline R32 GTS4

- Nissan Skyline R32 GTR

- Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T

- Nissan Skyline R33 GTS4

- Nissan Skyline R33 GTR

- Nissan Skyline R34 GT

- Nissan Skyline R34 GT-T

- Nissan Skyline R34 GTR

- Nissan Cefiro A31

- Nissan Z32 300ZX

- Nissan Stagea WGNC34

NOTE: Will not fit VL RB30's as they use a different clutch pack to the R31 RB30 motor

NOTE#2: Do NOT trim the clutch fan if it comes close to intercooler piping. When installing the fan ensure that there is at least 10-20mm's clearance between the fan and anything around it, keeping in mind that your engine moves when under acceleration and braking.

FAQ'S

Will this fit my car?

We can only confirm fitment for the vehicles listed above under "vehicle compatibility". If your car is not listed there, then we don't know if it will fit.

Do you make these to suit other cars?

We only sell the parts listed on our website. If it's not listed on our website, then we don't sell it. Sorry.

What's the advantage of using the GKTech engine fan?

We tested the clutch fan on a test vehicle in a controlled environment (on a dyno) with back to back tests and from 90 degrees celsius, it took less than half the time to go from 90 degrees to idle operating temperature. We found the fan pulls 40% more air than the factory RB fan.

What modifications are required, is this hard to fit?

No modifications are required, simply just remove and refit.

Is there anything else needed for installation?

You will need to supply your own clutch pack.

Can I install this myself? If so how long will installation take?

Yes, provided you have general mechanical knowledge it is straightforward. Installation should take around 45 minutes. However, being a vital engine component we recommend only a trained professional to install this product.

How do clutch fans compare to thermo fans?

If you've ever been to the track with thermo fans you know that unless setup with a shroud and correctly, they're useless. Clutch fans with the standard shroud are the way to go.

What's the weight on the clutch compared to the standard item?

The standard clutch fan is 430mm's in diameter and coincidentally also weighs 640grams.

What is the clutch fan made of?

The clutch fan has a metal center (like the factory unit) and is made of ABS plastic (like the factory unit).

Will I lose any engine power with the fan pulling more air?

No, with our dyno tests on the same car within 30 minutes of each test with multiple runs made we actually GAINED around 1% in power with the new clutch fan installed. The cause of this? There was less heat soak and everything was running cooler.

Which way do I install it?

The fins on the fan are to taper back towards the engine.
